| Norwegian green procurement plan rises again Posted: 18 Apr 2008 04:40 AM CDT Norway has revived a national green public procurement plan with the publication on Tuesday of a first set of purchasing criteria. The procurement initiative was originally launched in 1998 as part of a wider scheme, called Green State, to improve the environmental performance of state institutions. But it was never fully implemented, despite the efforts of successive governments. A spokeswoman told ENDS (Environmental Data Services ) the most recent burst of activity was in part a response to targets set in the EU's revised sustainable development strategy of 2006.
